You are performing a lumbar interlaminar epidural steroid injection at L4-5 on a 42-year-old female with bilateral lower extremity radiculopathy from L4-5 central disc herniation. The patient is prone with a paramedian approach. You are using a 20-gauge Tuohy needle and loss-of-resistance to saline technique.
