You are performing a right L5 transforaminal epidural steroid injection on a 55-year-old male with L5-S1 disc herniation and right L5 radiculopathy. The patient is prone on the fluoroscopy table. You have obtained a satisfactory oblique view and advanced a 22-gauge spinal needle to the 6 o'clock position of the right L5 pedicle. You are now injecting contrast under live fluoroscopy.
